  4. INSTALLATION:

  6. Included with the files you've downloaded is the Timekard installation
  7. program.  Just run the program setup.exe from Program Manager,
  8. File Manager or Windows launcher of choice.
  9.  
  10. The setup program will allow you to create a special
  11. directory for your Timekard program and required files.
  12. While you can include these files in your America Online directory
  13. we recommend a separate directory for all Timekard files.

  16. ORDERING INFO:

  18. An order form is available in the Timekard Help file.
  19. At the current time, check or money orders can be used to order Timekard.
  20. For America Online users the most critical information is to include
  21. your AOL screen name. Your registered version will be distributed to you
  22. via Email immediately upon receipt of $24.95 to the following address.
  23. All others should allow 2-3 weeks for delievery.

  38. WHAT IS TIMEKARD?
  39.  
  40. Timekard is a Personal Time Manager which will keep track of
  41. how much time you spend in your Windows program.
  42. TimeKard was designed to provide users with a real idea of how much
  43. time they spend in their applications.  Ever wonder how much time
  44. you spend playing Solitaire?  Look out, TimeKard may surprise you!

  46. Timekard also provides access control by monitoring your computer
  47. while you're away.  Find out what people are doing with your
  48. computer. Timekard not only keeps track of what programs are used
  49. and how long is spend, but it can create an audit trail of exactly
  50. which operations are performed on your system.

  52. Since Windows is a multiple application system it's possible to have
  53. more then one application active at a time.  TimeKard will measure how
  54. much time you actually spent working in an application.  The main
  55. TimeKard screen will display a list of all the applications you've
  56. used since starting up the current Windows session along with the time 
  57. you've spent using them

  60. Accessing TimeKard from other applications.

  62. TimeKard included Windows DDE support so you can access the TimeKard
  63. data from other programs which support DDE.  This will allow the
  64. creation of custom reports on your time, as well as billing invoices.
  65. It all depends on what you use TimeKard for.

  67. We've included a sample spreadsheet document for Excel compatible
  68. spreadsheetsm TIMEKARD.XLS.  This spreadsheet document demonstrates
  69. how to access TimeKard data.   After you've used timekard for a while
  70. load timekard.xls and check it out.
